Hotel Tronador is located at the northwest of Patagonia,
in Nahuel Huapí national park, in Argentina.
It is located by the Mascardi lake shore, at the foot
of the cordillera just by mount Tronador of 3454 m.a.s.l,
the highest mountain of northern Patagonia.
The airport and nearest city is San Carlos de Bariloche
which is 60 km away from the Hotel (77 km from airport). To
get to the hotel Tronador you have to take national route
40 (ex 258) taking the turnpike at Villa Mascardi km 35.
National route 40 (ex 258) connects
San Carlos de Bariloche with several tourist towns at the
south (El Bolsón, Epuyén, El Maitén, Esquel, Cholila,
etc.) as well as the provintial route to Hotel Tronador and
mount Tronador.
 From
the turnpike at Villa Mascardi (35 km from Bariloche) between km 2003 and 2002 of route 40.
We take the gravel road to Hotel Tronador for 10 km, there
we get to Los Rápidos where it starts the one way road.
Bridge over Río Manso Medio. If you drive, remember that there
begins the one way traffic road with this scheduled timetable:
Two way road traffic from 7,30 PM to 10,30 AM
One way up to Tronador: 10,30 AM to 2 PM
One way down: from 4 PM to 7,30 PM
The Hotel Tronador is located on the shore of Mascardi lake,
17 kms from Pampa Linda and 25 km from the base of Mount
Tronador.
